So what do people want to know. I was born in Billericay on a cold winters night in February and spent a lot of my early life with my Grandmother on a marsh in Pitsea as my Mum went back to work after I was born. I just loved the fields and the open space and being able to roam. But mainly, did live with my Mum and Dad on the edge Basildon were I went to school and even then my love of open spaces was as keen as ever and I would spend time in the countryside around the town.
Eventually I got big enough to leave home and went to University in Middlesbrough and later Brighton. And from there I worked at University of Durham and Leeds University as a researcher. Somehow I have managed to escape real work, only spending a year testing drugs, and I’m still in Education today as a College Lecturer. I love teaching and enjoy working with the students so they can realise their own potential.
The things I like and matter to me in life are varied as you will discover in the blog. I love acting and theatre, film, reading when I have the time, getting out and about, photography, music, the countryside and the people that matter to me. I'm passionate about all these things and more. I love life and the people in my life especially those that are special to me and I don't think anything will ever change that.
Along life's road I have acquired three children, Emily, Catherine, the youngest Lucy and dog called George. I live with my eldest two children and see the smallest one as much as I can. To say I love them all to bits is an understatement, they are my little princesses. They all mean the world to me and they a three of a select few who are special people in my life.
I lived a number of places including, Basildon, Middlesbrough, London, Durham and Leeds. I moved with my family to Rutland a few years ago and my world was full of joy and promise. It is a beautiful place and although all my dreams and the promises were shattered a few years ago and my family broken apart I still love it here as do the all the girls.
