Altogether

Another changeable day were one minute you needed a light coat to protect you from the cool breeze and the next you were carrying the same coat and enjoying the heat of the sun. All the same the sun won though in the end and any showers that bubbled up managed to stay away. So not so much of a bad as day as we have had of late and that was fine by me, and what was better was there was extra time with the girls.

With the schools on holiday everyone had extra time in bed this morning. So much so that everyone was still in bed when I had my coffee before going out to Oakham to pick up Lucy at ten. In fact I didn't even hear them stir as I left the house although I had heard an alarm that had been quickly turned off as they went back to sleep.

When I got with Lucy back nothing much had changed. Still there was no sign of Emily and Catherine, so we took some books out to the garden and we read each other stories. Although, read in Lucy's case isn't really the right word, she made up the stories from what she could remember and by looking at the pictures. She did well bless her and it was a nice way to spend half an hour or so as I had a coffee and she had some juice in the sun.

It was about after about half an hour after I got back from Oakham that Catherine made her appearance at the door to the kitchen and Lucy rushed inside to give her hug. Soon they were both in the family room playing together. They were joined by Emily some fifteen minutes later. Soon they were all sitting down watching a DVD on television together on the sofa, until Lucy decided she wanted to play again. I don't think they had much choice but join in with her games. Lucy was in that sort of mood.

Before lunch we popped out to the supermarket with Lucy to get some food. We need bread, butter, milk and something to put in the sandwiches. It was nice to find that Tescos have started to do garlic sausage again, something I love with coleslaw. With everything in the trolly, including Lucy, we soon paid for the food and we headed home. Complete with some extra's that Lucy wanted that I knew her sisters would love too.

When we got home I made lunch and it wasn't long before the girls were all eating together in the family room. When they matched back to the kitchen with plates they were nearly all empty. With dinner out of the way they all played together while I had a coffee until it was time to make use of the sunshine that had made an appearance. It was just what was needed to get out of the house and get some fresh air, so I headed out with the girls into the village.

The destination was the village park, which hopefully soon will have some more thing for the girls to play on according to the village newspaper. As we walked Emily was teaching Lucy how to cross the roads. It is sweet the way she looks after her and wants her to be safe. She was getting her to stop at the sides of the roads and look and listen for traffic before crossing. Of course there wasn't any, there never is much traffic in the village once you get away from the main road.

Soon we were all at the park and Emily and Catherine started off on the swings while Lucy had fun on the slide. It wasn't long before Catherine came over to join Lucy while Emily settled down on the grass to watch with me. We just chatted while we watched them play. It is nice to talk to Emily, she is becoming so grown up if you forget about the hormonal strops once in a blue moon. When Catherine and Lucy moved on to the trim trail Emily went off to join them. Soon Emily and Catherine had me timing them to see who could do it the fastest while Lucy tried her best to copy them.

Eventually out of breath Emily and Catherine joined me followed by Lucy. We had made a little camp for ourselves down near the goal posts and soon Catherine was taking pictures of Lucy with her phone while Emily played music quietly on hers. After some jumping games and general running about Emily suggested they all play hide and seek. Lucy jumped at the idea and Emily, the opportunist, managed to rope in a girl of Lucy others sisters age into the game. Soon they were hiding all over the park with Lucy's new little friend hiding and seeking with her. I must say I was very impressed with Lucy's counting, she managed to get to fourteen before she went wrong. In the end time beat us and we had to return home and after our goodbyes we headed back to the house. We must have spent nearly two hours at the park.

Before we got home, Lucy said she wanted to go to the church and I couldn't see any reason why we couldn't walk there other than it making dinner a bit rushed. So off we headed to the church and they all played there for five or ten minutes with Catherine telling Lucy all the things she has done there with the school while Emily asked me about the person that lived in our house that is on the war memorial. It was a pleasant time and it was nice to be in the coolness of the church until we had to leave.

When we got home I got straight on with making dinner for Lucy. I decided it would be quicker to make her something than cook for everyone. While I did that she just got on with carrying on with the games she was playing with Emily and Catherine before we left for the park. Soon she was eating and the girls sat with her chatting and hurrying her alone at the same time. I was right about it being a rush but we made it and Lucy was dressed and had her sweets in hand just in time for us to return to Oakham.

The drop off was like all those of the past few weeks. At least I getting use to them now and the feeling they invoke, although I do wonder what will happen once the month is over or how I will feel.

Once I got home I found the girls watching a DVD and needing something extra things from the supermarket we popped out to get them. It was as we were driving back that the car started playing up yet again. This time it was the turn of the engine. I really don't know how much longer I can keep it going. It's not old but it has so many design faults I do wonder if I can keep affording the repairs. I don't want to think what I will do without a car, but I know keeping this one might not be the best thing to do, and as I have said they are all design faults that shouldn't be in the car in the first place. Anyway I managed to get home and the evening was spent thinking about what to do with the bloody thing. All I need now is some one to fix it fast.

It was just lovely to have them altogether for the whole of the day. Just sitting in the park and watching the play was magical and I can't wait until we get to do that again. It has been great being with them as it always is. It makes all everything worth while when you have moments like that. I know the car can't be helped but with what is going on not having a car is now a bigger worry, especially given the current situation, than it ever was in the past. I know I will find a solution, just a question of what the solution is. I just hope it isn't the one I fear.

Finally I forgot to mention in Sunday's post that I was offered Lucy last Sunday night last Tuesday. With all that been going on, I just forgot to mention it. What was sad is I couldn't even answer the text every penny is needed and the mobile is one way to save at the moment especially since it needs a new charger lead too. The fact is although the offer was so kind, but I wouldn't take her time away from her mummy. I know how much the time I have matters to me.

Sorry

I.m sorry for the delay but there is so much going on in my head that I just can't think to blog at the moment. I am writing the missing posts and I will post them as soon as they are done. They are all in some form completion. Just not finished. Sorry. I hope you understand. I won't be beaten by this.

Artist of the Week - Pulp

I was just messing about looking at things on the web and I came across the first video of the three presented here. It was seeing them play live again that finalised my choice of artist of the week, who this week are the band Pulp.

Pulp are just one of those bands you come across in your life because they are in charts. I first heard them on the radio and loved them. It wasn't long after hearing them that I brought my first Pulp CD, back in the days when that was the main way of listening to music. Shortly after I got a second CD. The band at the time made a big impression on me.

Pulp are an English band who formed back in 1978 as a alternative rock group. Struggling to find success though the 1980's they eventually made it big in the mid 1990's with the release of the album "His n' Hers" and the follow up album "Different Class". The band went on to be major players in the Britpop movement and won an number of awards. Their last album was called "We Love Life" and it was released 2001. Nothing has come from the band since. It was announced last year that the band will return to live playing this year but no tour dates have been announced yet.

I'm really looking forward to listening to them again after all this time. It been a while. There something nice listening to old music again and all the memories that it can bring back from the past. Pulp is one of those bands that has happy memories associated with it. I hope if you listened to the music when it first came out it brings the same happy memories for you and if it is your first time you have heard them just enjoy.

Three Years Ago

It was about three years ago today that I moved with my family to Rutland. It was the best move I have ever made. I really love the place as you might have noticed from the posts in this blog. I really do think it is one of the most beautiful places in England to live and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else by choice.

I was happy to get the family out of the city and into the countryside. Just a few months before we moved we were burgled. They took all our things of value, including a two cars one of which was new to us at least and was our pride and joy, while we were in the same house asleep. It left everyone being nervous about living in the house for weeks upon weeks, and we didn't even live in a high crime area.

This was one of many reasons why I was so happy to leave. Another was, as I have said before, that the country is a better place to bring up children. I was brought up in the countryside and I always wanted that for my children, away from all the problems that can occur within large area's of population. I remember loving the freedom to just roam and explore as I got older. I hope Emily and Catherine have that feeling now. I feel so safe here and that makes a big difference to life.

Not such a good End

Another of those grey yucky days that you shouldn't get this time of year. Here it was late autumn in late spring. A cold wind blowing through the garden and wall to wall grey skies. Not what I wanted for the children, but it is just what we got. When you get days like this all you can do is make the best of them and that was the plan.

I got up on my own with Lucy this morning. Catherine didn't get up for another hour after Lucy. She settled herself down in the family room to watch TV in the family room while I made her a cup of tea and some breakfast. She ate this watching TV, while I drank my coffee in the living room. When she had finished her breakfast she came into play with me until Catherine got up to be shortly followed by Emily. With both of her older sisters up she started playing with them until lunchtime. They had a grand time.

After lunch Lucy played with Catherine for a while before settling down under her blanket with Emily to watch a film. They did this until it was time for her to go home. So she was all nice and clean for her mummy we gave her a quick bath and washed her hair. Catherine blow dried her hair for her and by the time she was dresses she looked a million dollars. As we headed in Oakham we chatted about her weekend. She said she enjoyed herself which is all I'm after. I just want her to have fun and be happy as I do for all children.

The drop off was not good for me. I felt the same as I have the past few times. I really try not show how I feel but inside I still fell broken, just because I never thought it would happen. I feel so sorry for everything that is happening to Lucy. It not what I wanted for her and I know there nothing I can do about it. Some people just see things in black and white. It's probably not even their fault. Nothing in life is black and white nor is anyone right or wrong. Life is one big grey mess and the only way though it is talking and that will never happen. Anyway, the drive home was a bunch of confused feelings. I know it will get better, but when?

From then on in the day just got worse. It was the last thing I expected. I really didn't think they could get worse than they already were to be honest but they did. I don't really want to go into it here, this is not the right place, but it was one of those moments you just despair at. It all so frustrating. Things have to change for the better.

Thankfully even days that end bad come to an end and tomorrow is another day. I managed well over the weekend until Lucy got to the door in Oakham to stop the future coming in to the present. I like living day to day and taking what ever the day throws at you, be it good or bad, but today the lack of communication over how what happens after the Lucy's move is becoming unacceptable. This needs to be sorted sooner rather than later.

Wild and Windy

I must say when I was thinking up a title for this post it came very easily, then I realised that it is the end of May. This is not the right sort of weather for this time of year. It reminds me more of a day in late November. It was really breezy and very cold out first thing. Not the sort of day to be playing outside at all but to be wrapped up warm and out of the wind. Thankfully it didn't end that way and the sun managed win through by the end of the day.

Catherine was up first with Lucy and when I got up they were both in Lucy's room laying on her bed and Catherine was reading her stories. As soon as I got in the room Lucy gathered her things together and went downstairs with Catherine. As soon as they were in the family room Catharine snuggled her up and went off to get her breakfast. By the time I had finished making my coffee and Lucy's cup of tea they were both eating and watching TV next to each other.

They carried on watching television until they finished eating and they both took their bowls through to the kitchen before they both started playing together. It was just lovely hearing them being so happy together until Catherine left for Oakham with her friends for the day. When Emily made an appearance she took over where Catherine left off and soon they were playing all kinds of games. I just loved the little shouts of "daddy" I would get when she wanted something and the cuddles between games. What more could a father ask for than happy children. It really was a lovely morning although the weather could have been better.

We all had a simple Lunch, with Lucy and Emily eating it her bedroom as they listened to music together and played. It was about an hour after lunch that Lucy came downstairs. Emily needed some Emily time and their games had come to a natural end. And the I played with Lucy inside and outside the house as the weather started to improve. I love the way she is playing with her babies now it is so imaginative and the puppet type game she made up was amazing and funny.

Towards the end of the afternoon we headed out to Oakham to pick up Catherine from the park in town. It gave all the girls some time in the park together to play and get out of the house. Thankfully the wind had dropped and although it was hot, it was warm enough if you had a coat on in the sun. It goes without saying that they all had a great time. Just messing about playing on all the things the place has to offer. What I remember most isn't what they were doing it was the thought that it has to be one of the most beautiful little parks I have ever been to. I will always have great memories of the place and enjoy going there.

When we got home I made everyone dinner, chinese chicken with fresh vegetables covered in butter. Every one seemed to enjoy it and Lucy loved the taste of the seasoning on the chicken skin. We buy it from the CoOp and it is much nicer than the same type of thing from Tescos. It seems to have less sugar in it which stops it burning before the chicken is cooked through. It also cheaper per pack although the chicken is rather smaller, but at least it had a better life before it ended up in our oven.

With dinner over everyone went back to playing before Lucy went to bed after her stories from her sisters and me. I love putting her to bed. It wonderful at this age, and after kisses and cuddles she fell straight to sleep to be joined in her land of slumber by Emily and Catherine a few hours later.

I must apologize for the shorter than normal post. I'm having problems motivating myself to write the blog at the moment. I sort of start fiddle with it and then move onto something else. I think the week break from work will help sort this out. I just need to get my head around things. Thankfully I have had a great day with everyone and that all that matters despite things going on around me. Just wish I could centre myself.

Mixed Bag

It been a mixed bag weather wise. A real mixture of sun, cloud combined with a northerly wind which kept the temperatures down to the middle teens despite the time of year. I no there hasn't been much rain and we need some but if it going to dry I would rather have it a big warmer than it has been over the last few days. I guess it just typical weather you get for the start of the first test match.

The morning was like any other really. Emily and Catherine going off to school and me pottering around the house. Nothing special really just a run of the mill start to the day just like many more before it. The mornings are like waiting for a train, there isn't much to do until the train arrives. Anyway that took me up to noon, when I headed out to get Lucy from nursery.

Lucy was in fine form when I got to nursery and as soon as she saw me she was at the gate waiting to be let out. After a cuddle she got her coat on, put her bag on her back and we were heading to the car chatting. The first thing to do was a quick trip to the supermarket, via the house to pick up my bankers card. There wasn't time to find it before we headed out of the house.

It was as we were heading back to the house that Lucy remembered she had taken one of her babies to nursery. She was really upset so we made another diversion to pick it up, unfortunately while it was there it lost an arm, but she didn't seem to mind much except she thought her mummy would be cross and her face dropped a bit. I told her we could sew it back on and that cheered her up and her mummy would understand. So with baby and arm we continued on to the supermarket. As is becoming the norm she was really helpful in the shop but once again shy of the check person that tried to engage her. It was on the way home she realized she had the wrong baby, hers had blue eyes and this one had brown eyes. She didn't seem to want to get hers and said she would get it next time and look after the poorly one for until she could get it.

Once we got home I made some sandwiches for lunch and we sat down in the living room to eat. It was nice to have her home again. We weren't in the house for long and after a coffee and a bit of general cleaning we were off out again. This time the destination was the garden centre in Ashwell. Lucy and myself had a good look around and play outside in the garden area before going to the shops.

First there were the fish to hunt for in the fish pond. They weren't really playing the coming out game in the cold weather, instead they were deep in the water. Eventually however a few managed to come to the surface much to Lucy's delight. After much pointing and say fish we went in search any other fun that could be had. Unfortunately someone has taken the golf club and the balls for the potting green, so playing with them was out, however this didn't stop Lucy. She found a large round stone and was soon rolling into the holes and when it went in cheering for all she was worth.

As soon as we finished there we headed back in to Oakham to the other supermarket to see had any of things I couldn't get at Tescos. The CoOp is far better stocked, but the prices are a bit higher, however saying that, in the case of the meat it is worth it if you have a decent income as the quality of the food is much better. I just wish I could afford to shop there, but I can't. With the shopping was over quickly we were soon heading home again to see Catherine who should have just got home from school.

As soon as we got back Lucy headed off upstairs to find Catherine. In fact she sort creeped up trying to surprise her, which wasn't easy with hiccups. Soon all you could hear was the sound of them having fun upstairs. In this case a lot of bouncing noise from a mattress that was on the floor that Lucy was bouncing on. When they eventually came downstairs they both went into the garden to play, and as they played shops I got on with hovering and generally tidying up Lucy's room. It gets used for all kinds of things while she is away including as a room to dry the washing in. When I got downstairs Catherine was just leaving and Emily had arrived home. Catherine was having dinner at a friends so Emily had some time on her own with her little sister while I got our dinner on.

Tonight we had baked chicken breasts in butter, with fresh broccoli, carrots and baked potatoes. The food turned out to be lovely and everyone enjoyed it. It was nice to cook something everyone liked and it was relatively healthy. It was the first time I had cooked chicken that way with each individual breast in it's own little foil wrap with a nob of butter. It worked really well and kept the breast lovely and moist. The next thing to do is to add some herbs to the mix to add to some extra flavor. It will be interesting were this cooking method takes me cooking wise. I still love cooking and I believe the only way to do it and be successful is if you put love and passion into it.

With dinner out of the way and Catherine coming home to find out what she missed out on, the three sisters went off to play together. It was very noisy and excited play. I wanted to calm them down but they were all having so much fun it just seemed a shame to get in the way of there game. It was just lovely to hear all the laughter filling the house and the fits of giggles that could be heard from time to time. Maybe not what I wanted just before Lucy's bedtime but it all worked out fine in the end and all the energy Lucy spent will ensure she gets a good nights sleep.

Bedtime followed a set routine for Lucy we have for her now, except she needed a little time to calm down, just five minutes quiet time. She had managed to get herself a little hyper and need a little time away from her sisters just to centre herself. It worked a treat and soon she was nice and relaxed again.

I think Lucy loves having her stories read by her sisters, she certainly gave Catherine the big thumbs up and as for Emily, well she virtually acts the stories out now complete with silly voices. It is just lovely watching her read to Lucy.  Of course, I read her the last story and with that done and kisses from everyone she cares about she fell straight to sleep while her bigger sisters watch some television together before joining her in the land of nod.

I have done what I wanted to do and kept my feeling about the move out of the day. There were moments, but I squashed them. I didn't want anything to spoil the day. I just wanted to make it fun for all of them. I just hope I achieved it as much as I could. I'm just looking to sort out the contact for later next month but that isn't going to happen until we find a communication channel that isn't just text. I don't have the money at the moment to buy text messages. To many other things need the cash other than the phone when there are free ways to communicate that are better, especially when they are only used for communicating with one person.

Wildlife Everywhere

One of the lovely things about living in Rutland is the wildlife you come across even on the outskirts of the county Town of Oakham. In the area that is going to developed by the ecoterrorist and their partners in crime Rutland County Council, the Hawksmead development, there is so much going on. The picture below is a little owl on one of the lamp posts near Lands End, a large mail order company.

Just in recent few days traveling down from the ring road and past Lands End and into Oakham, via the Rutland Agricultural Societies Show ground, we have spotted all kinds of wild birds and a few animals too. Here is just list of some of the things we have seen:
  • Little Owls
  • Green Woodpeckers
  • Turtle Doves
  • Pheasants
  • Pied Wagtails
  • Black Birds
  • Robins
  • Wood Pigeons
  • Magpies
  • Crows
  • Various Gulls
  • Rabbits
  • Grey Squirrels
It is sad to think all this wildlife will be made homeless by the wanton destruction of their habitat. Especially when you consider in the case of the Green Woodpecker it numbers are in decline in the UK because of projects just like the one planned for the area.

What we are doing by over development is spoiling the environment for future generations and it is about time people took a stand against the developers. What we need to be doing is developing brown field sites in the county rather than sites that have no development history. Since the closure of Ashwell prison and the planned closure of the RAF base there are potentially enough of these sites in the county to provide affordable housing at reasonable density.

What I still find amazing is that one of the area's being ruined belongs to the Rutland Agricultural Society who run a yearly show to demonstrate what is great about our county. You would have thought that they would have more sense than to sell their land to people who are out to destroy all that they believe in and celebrate every year. It makes them look like a bunch of hypocrites, believing in one thing then doing something else that goes against those beliefs.

I really don't know what the Rutland County Council are up to. They are elected as guardians and stewards of this rural county and they are set on a course to some of it's destruction.

Dry and Windy

It was one of those days that when you wake up it looks lovely, but as the day went on the weather became windy but dry. All the same it was lovely when the wind did drop and the sun was shining, you could feel the heat on your skin and it just warmed your heart that summer is surely now on it way.

I got up just in time to see Emily rushing out of the door to be followed by Catherine coming downstairs. She made herself breakfast and I got on with making her some lunch before making my cup of coffee. Catherine must have been tired since she was was very quite while I drank my coffee. Normally she chats away, but not this morning. As the time for school approached she packed her lunch box and said goodbye and I wished her well, then she was gone. She had been a little poorly the day before and I put her tiredness down to that.

The morning was just spent pottering around and doing the odd jobs until noon. Nothing special at all. Today it was more like waiting for the day to start. Nothing good happened, it was just time passing like it always does. I just wanted the morning out of the way today and hoped the sun outside would warm the day and make it beautiful. I could really do with a day like that at the moment. There is a dark cloud looming, I can feel it.

At noon I headed out to Oakham to pick up Lucy. She stayed in the car as I walked down to the nursery to get her. As normal I got a big hug. While I was there I told them about what she was doing at the church the last time she was with me. They said they would try to encourage her next time they do music. It was lovely to hear them say that. It shows that she is in a nursery that cares and wants to encourage the children. As we walked back to the car together we chatted about her news. As always some of it made sense, while other bits of it just confuse.

After we left the nursery we headed for a bakery for lunch. Lucy wanted to go there and she loves the bread rolls. I would rather spend any extra pennies on the children than myself. Just as I would give them food before I fed myself. It just what you do. Thankfully there were enough extra pennies for all of us and we sat looking at the lovely countryside while we ate our lunch. I will never tire of seeing green fields and being able to get around so easily.

On the way back into Oakham after finishing lunch, Lucy fell asleep in her car seat. She said she was tired when she came out of nursery. I remember Catherine saying and doing the same thing at her age. It did mean she didn't get go to the supermarket. I missed her while got the things for lunch and dinner, but she needed the sleep, so I left her sleeping in the car with me and I played games on the phone. She only woke with the motion of the car as we started heading back to the village.

When we got home Lucy got a lovely welcome from George before she pottered off to the family room to get her toys out and started playing on her own for a bit. This gave me time to get the kettle on and make some coffee and get Lucy a drink. After my coffee I went in to play with her a bit before we both head out in the village for a few hours. She still likes playing KerPlunk at the moment although I did manage to interest her in some of the other games as well.

With the sun out we headed out of the house and into the village. Where we were going was easy, Lucy had already asked if she could go to the church and the park and I had already said yes as long as it is sunny. The first port of call was church where she once again she headed straight for the piano. I was told to sit in my seat and she played for me, before it was time to reverse roles and she sat down and I played for her. She was having great fun and when it came time to move on she didn't want to leave. She just kept asking for one more go on the piano. Eventually we had to leave, after some five or more last goes. We headed down the path by the river with Lucy picking wild flowers as we went. She loves giving flowers and gave most of them to me.

We had taken so long in the church that Catherine had managed to come home from school change and incept just as we got onto the road to the park with lots of cuddles. When we got into the park there were people playing cricket between one of the goal posts. Lucy went so shy, so Catherine suggested that we all went down to the bike ramp. As soon as se got down there she changed back to her normal self and she was soon sliding down the ramp with Catherine before going with her to play in the little house affair.

When the people playing cricket left the playground end of the park we returned to play there. Soon Lucy was going down the slide, crossing the rope bridge as well as doing the trim trial with Catherine. It was while we were at this end of the park that Emily turned up. The note we had left her had fallen down and she was left not knowing where we were and had to find us. What was worse was she was locked out and she needed the toilet. She wasn't happy but Lucy found it funny as did Catherine as she marched off with the key. She made one of Lucy strops look tame. It seems the teenage years are here for Emily some six months early.

After Emily left us and went back to the house I started to listen to music on Catheriens phone while I was sitting on the grass. It didn't take long for Lucy to ask for the phone and soon she was listening to music while sliding down the slide and dancing with Catherine. They were having great fun, especially Lucy who was enjoying ordering Catherine about. It was just a shame it all had to end, but time was moving on and food needed to be cooked.

When we got home Lucy went to find Emily and was soon sitting down with her and watching a DVD as I got on with dinner. It wasn't long before they were both joined by Catherine and I didn't hear a peep from any  of them until I called them for dinner. All I can put the lack of noise down to was Lucy being worn out by all the fun at the park.

Eventually dinner was ready and the girls all sat down together to eat. They had a smashing time chatting away and after dinner they went upstairs to play until it was time for Lucy to return to her mummies in Oakham. It must have been a good day for Lucy, on the way back she said she wanted a sleep. It's sad when I have to tell her she can't sleep over but I know one day she will understand. All I wish is she knows that we all love her and that she is special to everyone. The drop off itself was once again full of emotion, I know it will ease, but things feel funny at the moment almost surreal.

I have had a really lovely day with Lucy, I just love every moment I have with her and her sisters together. I just don't want anything to change. They all have so such fun together. It was lovely to see them all laughing today and it really warmed my heart, despite all I feel is going on.

Artist of the Week - Muse

Sometimes I feel I have an amazing power for the things I feel passionate about, I know what I love and I that love is part of my soul. This version of "Feeling Good" connects me with that raw power that makes me who I am and drives me. It makes me want to achieve the impossible just because the impossible can be had if you reach out and grab it. It the same feeling I get about things like acting which I'm still so passionate about. It is that which makes the Muse the perfect choice of "Artist of the Week" and it is what connected me with this band. The song is amazing in it's raw energy. I love it.

I'm not sure where or when I first came across the Muse. They sort of appeared from nowhere and they just became part of my play list. Once on the play list they have always remained firmly on my iPod. There is just something about them that makes you not get fed up with music and you can play it again and again. Like I said the power behind their music is amazing.

The Muse are an English rock band. Formed in 1994 the band is made up from a group of school friends. They are well know for their energetic live performance which encompass a varied music genres from progressive rock to classical music. They recorded their first album Showbiz in 1999, which despite being published on the recording studios own labile managed to go Gold in the UK. The real success however started with there second album, Origin of Symmetry, which went Platinum in both the UK and Australia. A feat repeated for all the other three albums that have followed it, all of which have been number one in the album charts. They are not without critical success either having won a number of awards over the years, all of which have been well deserved.

Well I hope you enjoy listening to the Muse and you check out their live music as well as they album tracks. They are really worth listening to and I know I am  looking forward hearing them when as I drive to work this week. I hope you do to however and whenever you have time to sink yourself into music.

Finally looking at these clips wants me want to return to Glastobury again. Just to be part of that experience again. I love live music and especially good live music. I was there once and I will be there again. I just hope when I get there I get to see someone as good as the Muse live.
