At the moment I'm really having fun on Twitter while watching television show. I forgot how really enjoyable it was until this years Apprentice aired. I have been playing with it since posted about it on the blog but I had really got back into it until now.

For me it makes watching a television show more interesting being able to interact with others watching the same programme. It also good for just letting go of stuff and getting it out there and keeping in contact with people you know. Of course if you are new to it, remember one thing, it is a public and you have to keep that mind when posting openly. So you just have to watch what you say and not say anything you don't want the whole world to know.

Big Brother 2012 - House Pictures

The run up to this years Big Brother is well underway with Channel Five releasing the first pictures of this years onto Facebook earlier today. As always the house looks very impressive, that is until the housemates get in there and mess it all up with food fights and alike.

The reality television show of all shows hits our screen again on the Tuesday 5th June, so their is not long to wait now. Like most fans of the show that have watched it for years I can't wait for it to start. I love the excitement of discovering what the new housemates are like and what happens in the house as time goes on. There something addictive about the show that just brings you back night afyer night and year after year. It is my guilty pleasure.

Residents Sell up as the Developers Move In

It rather noticeable that the number of for sales signs are increasing in village of Barleythope. People are clearly trying to moving out of the area before they get swamped by new homes, football pitches and a college. They are voting with their feet.

 
They are moving out before they get swallowed up by Oakham and the development planed by Larkfleet and their subsidiary Hawksmead Ltd and who can blame them. Any opposition to the scheme has been squashed by Rutland Country Council who have turned a deaf ear to the opinions.  They fell they have been ignored from the people I have talked by the people that have elected them. 

Personal I think they are right, the Rutland County Council and the developers have drawn up their plans together and that is the end of the matter. It is a done deal.

Just Pictures

I have had some nice comments about some of the pictures I have posted on Facebook recently. I'm glad people like them but I just take pictures of what I see just because I enjoy just taking them, so it is so nice to positive feedback. All the same, I feel I'm still have so much to learn.

What I would love to do for a change is to take some urban photographs. It not something have I really get the chance to do here, being that I'm surrounded by countryside all the time. It would be great to have the time and the money to just drive around and get some pictures of urban life for a change.The contrast with what I see day to day would be quite striking visually and it would be a little different of an experience for me.

So if the blog has, at sometime, some urban photographs from one of the nearby cities don't be surprised. It is just me trying out something different. Finally thanks for all the kind comments. I just take pictures of what I see and your comments are lovely.

Who Trusts the Conservatives.

There was an interesting bit of news yesterday whose significance seemed to get missed with just the bare facts being read out on the BBC five live in the evening news. The reason for this was it was basically announced early in the day to be buried under more appealing political news.

It would seem that the Ministry of Defence has awarded £350m contracts for the next generation of nuclear-armed submarines to replace the current Trident system that is coming to the end of its life. These contracts total three hundred and fifty million pounds and they are part of three billion pounds set aside for the project by the Government already.The Conservative Defence Secretary Philip Hammond sees this spending as "an important step" towards renewing the nuclear deterrent in the United Kingdom.

Leaving aside the issue of does the United Kingdom need a nuclear deterrent aside there is another issue that shows how the Conservatives work. When the Conservative Party formed a coalition Goverment with the LibDem Party they had an agreement that they only look at alternatives and delayed a final decision on replacing Trident until 2016, which is after the next general election. However they seem to be pressing ahead with replacing Trident despite their commitment not to.

It would seem the that three hundred and twenty five million pound is being spent on the overall submarine design, another fifteen million pound on designing parts of the in-service support and a further four million pounds for the integration of the reactor design. It goes without saying that you wouldn't spend such vast amounts of money when you are cutting everything else if you hadn't already made a decision to go ahead with the project despite the promises you made.

The Ministry of Defence claim that that although a decision on the final design and build would not be made until 2016, detailed work had to take place now to ensure that the Successor submarines would be the most technologically advanced. The truth it is only going to be official decision as the real one has already been taken by the Conservative Party to push ahead with the project. That is not kust my opinion, Eric Grove, director of the University of Salford's Centre for International Security and War studies said: "It's without commitment in theory but of course it is with commitment in practice. We wouldn't be spending this kind of money on design if it didn't look as if it was going to go forward."

The bottom line is that the LibDems have been lied to by their partners, the Conservative's, whom they formed a coalition Government with. This sort underhand trick the Conservative party have pulled, wrapped up as a Ministry of Defence decision and buried under other news is typical of the way the party works. They aren't a party to trust and as sooner the LibDems realise that the better. It not only in national politics that they work this way it goes all the way through the party to a local level.

What I want to know is how long is it going to take the public to see through them. The fact is the underhand ways they work makes you wonder if they can ever be trusted again.

Langham Junction Swans

With it being such a lovely day, especially compared to the weather we have had so far this month, so I took the opportunity to go for a walk out in the countryside. Along the way I stopped off to visit the swans at Langham Junction to see how they are doing.

The current situation is that the mother is still sitting on her eggs, while the male is protecting her from the Mallard Ducks that seem to make a nuisance of themselves. While I was their the female carefully turned the eggs while the male collected material to sure up the nest, before setting to work to make the nest secure. It is amazing how well they can handle the reeds to build the nest with their long necks acting like cairns.

It was a lovely way to spend half an hour or so, just sitting and watching them on the bank. I can't wait until the little ones hatch and I can go and see them with the girls. 

Britain Gone Wrong

In one of the local Blogs I can across this song written back in 1985 and found it's haunting message the same as the plight many today. It just sums up where we are at and how many feel about the life in Britain for the poor now.

The common link is of a Conservative Government cutting away at basic public services, giving to the rich and taking away from those in need. You just have to read the lyrics of the sing to understand the similarities between then and now:

Just is in the nineteen eighties people are being push into poverty and forgotten. Even middle Britain are being made to pay for the mistakes of the past this time caused by the greed of the banking system. The only people that seem to be suffering less pain are the rich and the bankers and company directors with their huge bonus

What Britain needs now is a Government that listens to the people and that is ready to make society fairer. What we don't need is a Government ruled by the rich and greedy that wants to take control and erode our rights to privacy and employment. It is time for change.

Only in Conservative Britain

As part of the Prime Ministers call to free industry from red tape they have commissioned a report by conservative supporting venture capitalist Adrian Beecroft which includes plans for 'no-fault dismissal', which nothing more than a hire-and-fire system.

It won't come as many of a surprise that there are some backbenchers in the Conservative party that support the idea of no fault dismissals, a move that would see employee rights being serious eroded. Other notable proposals included:

• An end to a mandatory 90-day consultation period when a company is considering redundancy programmes. Instead it will suggest a standard 30-day period and an emergency five-day period if a firm is in severe distress 

• A cap on loss-of-earnings compensation for employees who make successful discriminatory dismissal claims 

• Reform of the rights that workers are allowed to "carry" to new employers when their companies are the subject of a takeover 

• Scrapping provisions in the Equality Act which make employers liable for claims from employees for "third-party harassment", such as customers making "sexist" comments to staff in a restaurant 

• Shifting responsibility for checking foreign workers' eligibility to work in the UK from employers to the Border Agency or the Home Office

It has been reported that a Minister has said that action was already being taken on 17 of the 23 Beecroft recommendations.

It has been said in the conservative supporting press that the report has been doctored by the Prime Minsters office before being passed to the Business Department. These included to calls to delay plans to introduce flexible working for parents, to abandon proposals to allow all workers to request flexible working, and to remove regulations surrounding the employment of children.

It seems that not satisfied with taking away our human rights, the Conservative Party and  now trying to take away employees rights. They have already eroded people pensions and introduced a granny tax to while giving tax cuts to the rich. The agenda of the Conservative Party seems to be take us back a hundred years were the common man had few rights and women couldn't even vote. How long before one of them purposes work houses for the unemployed.

I thought David Cameron was a new bread of Conservative Prime Mister, but he is the same as all those that have gone before him, putting the rich and business before the people. I just hope that soon the Liberal Democrats actually see through him and pull on the plug on this Government.

Police to Extract Phone Data

It seems that not content with purposing a bill watching what we are doing on the internet, who we call and text, the Government, it would appear, have sanctioned the police to collect the data from our mobile phones if you are custody. What is worse you don't even have to be charged with an offence for them to keep the data indefinably.  

It has bee reported that the information that police are gathering can be held indefinitely. The information the police are holding nuclides the content of text messages, call histories and contact books from mobile handsets and devices. It is also claims that officers can also access and copy website histories and email content from smart phones, including records of activity on Facebook and other social networking sites such as Twitter.

Data collection has began in London with special download units being placed in police stations across London. The systems they use allows data to be downloaded and copied within a few minutes. The new units remove the necessity to send mobile phones to special forensic units to have data extracted from them. Senior offers claim it will speed up their investigations. A process that could take several days or weeks under the old system.

Privacy groups have claimed that this practice is a "possible breach of human rights law", The biggest concern is the fact that the data is being retained indefinitely when charges are not brought against an individual.  The police have claimed, in their defence, it is only done under guidelines that have been given to officers which state that data extraction can happen only if there is sufficient suspicion the mobile phone was used for criminal activity. 

Privacy groups have pointed to the legation on police keeping DNA records, claiming since it is illegal to hold DNA records of suspects indefinitely after they are acquitted or released without charge they same rules should apply to the data on mobile telephones. They have also said that there will be a presumption will be that anyone who is arrested  can have their phone examined, and because of their concerns they have raised the issue with the Office of the Information Commissioner as well as taking legal advice on challenging the move under Human Rights law.

There are also worries that the police could take the same technology onto the streets. Portable data extraction systems exist that would allow the police to extract data from phones during a stop and search which would be a disturbing expansion of police powers and a threat to civil liberties. 

A spokesman for the Office of the Information Commissioner is reported to have said: that ‘any personal information taken from an individual’s phone or other possessions and then held by the police during an investigation would have to comply with the Data Protection Act:" and that this included its requirement to process personal data fairly and lawfully, not hold excessive or irrelevant personal data, or hold it for longer than necessary. Clearly this isn't what the police are doing in their plan to hold the data indefinitely. They are in effect breaking the law and it would seem from it is reported that the police have their own rules and laws that full short of the safeguards of the Data Protection act.

This is a worrying development especially given the Governments desire to keep electronic records of all our communications and web browsing histories. What is worse is it is being introduced by the backdoor. Their are no checks, no senior offers in the police approving the extraction of data and it is be retained even if the person is innocent of any crime the data was extracted in connection with.

I can see people saying this isn't a big deal as it us only criminals that are having their phone data extracted and stored, but the fact is it is even innocent people who just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and get picked up by the police. There are no safeguards in the system to make sure the guidelines are being followed by the average policeman. Nothing to stop the system being abused.

In the past their have been cases where data collected from mobile devices that hasn't been passed on to the defendant. Sam Hallem served seven years in prison for a crime he didn't commit all because the police failed pass on information that could have cleared him of the crime. This sort of mistake is unforgivable and leads me to the conclusion that all data found on phones must be passed to the defence lawyers at the time it is extracted.

Personally I'm not against the extraction of data from mobile phones, if it is relevant to a criminal case, but there has to be properly regulation. First there has to be legislation to stop misuse of the data and the system to extract it. This should require that requests to extract data should be at least signed by senior officers, with copies of all data extracted being made available to defendants and their councils and any data held should be destroyed in accordance with existing data protection law if a person isn't charged. 

Just like the rest of us the Police have to act within the law and this includes the Data Protection Act. What they seem to be doing is abusing this law and personally I'm not sure collecting the data without a some kind of warrant is legal either, after all to collect the same data real time requires a warrant under current law. What needs to happen to happen now is for the Government to act to protect peoples privacy rather than taking it away and allowing the police to abuse their powers.

Inglourious Basterds

It has been a good week for film on television and another one was shown lasting. I sat down and watched Inglourious Basterds which was directed and written by Quentin Tarantunio and like most of his work I wasn't disappointed by the experience.

It is not a film for the faint hearted, set in Nazi-occupied France during World War II, it tells the story of a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" that have been chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. 

Like most of Quentin Tarantino works it is a no holds barred assault on the senses. It makes no apologies and asks for no forgiveness in dealing with the subject matter of the film. Quentin Tarantino doesn't care if the audience are offended in fact that seems to be part of the point of the film, and that keeps you watching from start to finish. What is interesting that given the brutality of the film it is mixed with humour which makes it a emotional roller coaster of laughter and disgust. The end result is a brilliant film.

If you haven't seen it and you love Quentin Tarantunio's work then it is a must see. It grips you from start to finish and it makes reading subtitles a joy. Now it has been on film 4 it should be on again soon, so look out for it.

Countdown Begins

With yesterdays release on Facebook of the presenter photographs for next series of Big Brother the countdown has begun, keeping interest build after the release of the eye on the 7th May.

What everyone will be waiting for now is for the pictures of this years house which will feature in the summer show and the celebrity show in the new year. Excitement is high at channel 5 and they feel that they have made the show their own and applied their own style to the show.

It will be interesting to see if the channel take any of the criticisms that the hardcore fans levelled at the show, particularly about a live web feed. My feeling is they won't, although the audience figures were generally good last year by Channel 5 standards, I still don't think they will get the interest they need to make it pay. 

Last year Channel 5 managed to produce a super show and I hope that manage to pull it off again. I really enjoyed the freshness of the show last year and I looking forward to seeing if they can make it even better this year with another bunch of excellent housemates.

Cast Away

Last night I happened to notice that the film Cast Way was being shown on BBC 1 and I sat down to watch. Ir is a film that I first saw on the big screen when it was first released, and one that just amazed me at the time.

It is the story of a FedEx executive, played by Tom Hanks, who has to transform himself physically and emotionally to survive a crash landing on a deserted island. After setting up the background to the story the main character at the start of the film, Hank's character has deal with reality and frustrations of knowing that his chances of returning back to civilisation are virtually nil. After four years he has adapted to living on the island and surviving on his own. He learns to fish with spear, make fire, collect water, chart the sessions and weather, and even deal with his denial problems. All the time his hopes of getting off the island are kept alive by the photograph of his girlfriend. 

For me the interest in the story is twofold, I love the survival aspect of the film and the underlying love story. What makes it special, however, is the quality of the writing, the direction and the acting, especially by Tom Hanks. Hanks has a large part of the film all to himself with only a ball to keep him company and talk to. The whole film rests on his ability to keep the audiences interest and he does this with complete authority. You just don't want to take your eyes off the film in far of missing something important.

It is a wonderful film and Tom Hanks deserved more awards for the film than he actually got. It is a masterclass of film acting which was made easier by a wonderful story. If you haven't seen it, then do, it is one of those must see films that comes along every now and again.

Wrights Wanderings

There are many lovely blogs on the internet, but there aren't many in Rutland as beautiful as Wrights Wanderings. A nature photographer and artist who records what he sees on his travels.

It is full of amazing pictures and drawing so some of the wonderful wildlife in Rutland as well as other parts of the world that he has visited on his travels. It is a testament to rural Rutland and why we must fight to preserve it for the wildlife that lives here and for future generations to enjoy. Just looking at it makes me realise we have so much to lose if we over develop the countryside in the sort of way Rutland County Council are planning to do. 

It is well wroth a look and you don't have to be an expert to appreciate the wildlife and birds that he photographs and draws. There is a link at the top of the post and another in the side bar to help you find this wonderful blog.

Warm Sunday

Another day that was warn and dry,and the when sun shone was lovely, but there was an edge to the wind that kept the temperatures from ever amounting to much. It was good enough to go out in a light coat and that was all that mattered.

When Lucy woke up the sun was shining and the skies were blue as I opened her blinds. Lucy gathered her things and passed to me all she couldn't carry and we headed down the stairs and settled ourselves in the chair with a drink as we woke up. Soon Lucy declared she was hungry and with no sign of Catherine, who was tired from the night before, I made her some breakfast which she sat down at the table while listening to a story on the computer.

With breakfast out of the way I got on with playing with Lucy until Catherine finally appeared just in time to see Lucy and myself getting ready to head out of the door. We were both off to the village park to enjoy the sun while we could, just in case those clouds came our way and robbed us of our fun. Catherine didn't want to come with us, so with Lucy's scooter we headed out of the house, down the path and along the road to the park.

As we arrived at the park we there was a chorus of bells coming from the church. It was rather a lovely moment. I love the sound of the bells on a Sunday morning. Soon Lucy entered play mode and off she went on the trim trial getting me to help her on the bits she can't do, most of which are the bits they have recently added to challenge older children than Lucy. With that out of the way it was off to make use of the bike ramp with her scooter. She is getting good now at directing it up the ramp and doing a gentle turn to whizz down the ramp. She loves it and I sit on the sidelines encouraging her and watching her every move. Finally came the imaginative play in the little shelter, then the swings and the slide before we headed home.

When we got back home Lucy went to seek out her sisters to entertain her and I got on with making everyone some lunch. After lunch I finished Lucy's washing and got her things together in one place. She has this way of spreading herself around the house and her things end up everywhere. Once done I joined in the fun until it was time for the rush as we got her ready to return back to the City. 

Soon we were heading out through the sun bathed countryside, down the country roads, passed the fields and villages until we arrived in the built up metropolis. Once there we said our goodbyes and I gave her a massive cuddle and she was gone again for another couple of weeks. On the way home I reflected on the difference between city and the villages, stopping take a picture of one of the most beautiful village cricket grounds I have ever seen in Ashby Folville. It is quiet a contrast to the city streets. 

Once home again I started preparing dinner as the girls did their school work for the coming week and chatted to friends on the computers and listened to music. I'm so glad I have the other two children with me most of the time more by fate than anything. Lucy might be the live wire when she is here but they keep the place alive from day to day. I love children and I love seeing them grow. There is nothing more rewarding in life.

Britain's Got Talent - Voting Results

It is all over for another year and what a show it was this year. All the acts did themselves proud and many of them deserved to win, but in the end there could only be one winner.

Sunny Saturday

Although not a blistering hot day it was sunny and fair, ideal for getting out and about and having some fun with Lucy. Something I just love doing. I feel by giving her some quality time that maybe I can make up not being their for her as I would like to be. I feel at the moment I'm missing out on so much of her little life.

It was lovely to see Lucy smiling face with the sun peeking between the gaps in the blinds. Opening them to see a blue sky was just the start to the day I wanted. Soon we had her things gathered and downstairs we went to snuggle up in the chair while we had a drink and woke up watching children's television together. Once awake we played together until Catherine appeared who then had breakfast with Lucy.

After breakfast I set out to the shops with Lucy to get some food for the weekend, but their was some where else go first. We head for one of the many small parks in Oakham so we could enjoy the morning sunshine and have some fun. It was nice to see her smiling in the sunshine. She has such a lovely smile and we played and played. All kinds of games, especially her food shop game she loves so much. In the end we had to head off to the supermarket and with a wave we left and got our shopping done, meeting the Tesco's cat along the way.

For lunch we had fresh crispy bread rolls with breaded ham. Some people had them plain, others with pickle but I had mine with some rather lovely french mustard. They were yummy and the gils had yogurt for pudding that Lucy loves and insisted we buy when we were shopping. After lunch Emily and Catherine played with Lucy until it was time for us all to head out again and into the sunshine for the afternoon. Both Emily and Catherine were going out with their friends so they got dropped off in Oakham as we went further a field to have some fun.

Our destination was the Country Park in Melton Mowbray. It lovely there, as I'm sure I have said many times before. There is things for the children to do, a coffee shop and if you feel like it you can have a lovely walk trough the park. It is a great place to walk a dog. Today it was play that was on the agenda. Lucy started off playing in the play ground but after a while she had other idea's and moved on to the bigger girls part of the park.

Soon she was climbing up the rope net like she had been doing it all her life. She got really high before she needed any help to get back down. She didn't give up and up again she went this time needing no help in getting down. Next came the aerial slide, until today she had only ever been down it with one of her sisters holding her. Today she did it on her own for the first time and not the last. It was really hard to get her to leave, she just wanted to stay and play on the aerial slide. I lost count of how many times she went down the slide, queuing to wait her turn.   

Eventually we left the park and headed home and I got on with making dinner. As i did Emily and Catherine came home to big smiles from Lucy. After dinner the girls played and I relaxed until it was time for Lucy to go to bed. After her stories, kisses and cuddles she feel into the land of nod. As she slept we all settled down to the final of Britain's got Talent after which two tired older girls followed Lucy off to their beds.

It has been a super day and being able to get out was wonderful. It so nice to see Lucy having fun and enjoying the company of her sisters when she is with them. All I hope is tomorrow turns out to be nice to and we get some time out of the house together like today.

Britain's Got Talent - The Final

Tonight sees the final of Britain's Got Talent and I thought I would write down my thoughts about each act this year as well as comment on the final result of the show. A sort of live blog entry, written as the show progresses.

Hopefully if the Judges and the public got it right we should be in for a good show, and there is the mystery of the wild card, who has turned out deservedly to be the The Mend. So here goes with my real time thoughts of each act:

The Mend (Group) 

A good choice for the wild card, they seemed popular on Twitter when they were on the first time. Love the remix sound of music they produce. What is good about them is they sound like an established band, rather than a finalist of Britains Got Talent. It was an amazing start to the show.

Sam Kelly (Solo Artist)

Mr nice guy himself, he is so humble. He has an amazing original voice that is rather lovely to listen too. I'm glad he chose something that showed he had power in his voice as well as control. Amanda in the semi-finals wanted something with a bit more power in it and he sure delivered tonight. Lovely song choice tonight.

Nu Skool (Dance Group) 

A change from the singers, a dance act. Love the way they have the school look and I get this vision of what Waterloo Road the Musical would look like.They are very slick and visually stunning to watch. They are great dancers and little girl with the freckles is just cute. They have masses of energy.

Molly Rainford (Solo Singer) 

Back to the singers with the little person with a massive voice. She sounded just amazing tonight. So confident for someone so young in the final of a major show with an audience of millions. She did everything that was asked of her and more. What ever happens tonight this girl has a career in music waiting for her. 

Loveable Rouges (Group) 

The cheeky singers that met and started singing as a group at university. I loved their sound it is just amazing, They sort of remind me of Lily Allen in a way, but in the form of a male group. I there is a sense humour in their sings that just makes you feel good. Great song tonight and a great performance. They deserved all the cheers of the audience at the end. They are amazing. 

Kai & Nataila (Ballroom dancers) 

Something completely different, a pair of young ballroom dancers. What I love about this pair is that they do ballroom dancing without making it look like they are doing ballroom dancing. They even pick music you wouldn't expect to hear in any ballroom. Not perfect tonight but one of them was carrying an injury. You can see a lot of people young taking up ballroom dancing after seeing them on the show.

Aquabatique (synchronised swimmers) 

These seem a bit odd for a variety act, in that I don't know how they would get the tank on the stage in a theatre. That aside, it is amazing what they do especially given so much of it is underwater. Loved their choice music tonight, and I thought they upped their game. I still don't know how they manage to hold their breath for so long when they are doing things that physically must require a lot of oxygen. 

Rayn Shaughnessy (solo singer) 

What I love about this chap is he is not only a good singer he is also a good songwriter and he has a big heart. I love his voice and I loved his song tonight, it was just so so beautiful. It was the sort song that just brings a tear to your eyes. I can't praise his song writing ability high enough. He is one of the first acts of they night I think should win the show for his performance. It was so emotional. 

Only Boys Aloud (Male Voice Choir) 

Now for a change of music style and language and what ever happens tonight Wales will be proud of them. I love the way they start with the two solo artists before bring the whole choir in. It just builds the sound so magically.. The songs are so beautifully arranged as well as sung. What is more impressive is it doesn't matter they are singing in Welsh. I'm not a fan of this sort of music but what they do is very impressive.

Ashely and Pudsey (Dog Act)

Now for something a bit different, a dog act that Simon Cowell loves so much. Pudsey is an amazing dog and so well trained by his owner Ashely. Loved the music and the mission impossible theme of the act. What I think is really impressive is they have done a different routine for every show and tonights was the best yet. If ever a dog act had a chance of winning this one has everything going for it.

Charlotte and Jonathan (Opera Duet)

Now for a type of singing I'm not a fan of, but this pair are simply amazing. They both have incredible voices and the power in Jonathan's voice is incredible. I love they way they picked a song that sound a bit more contemporary and not too operatic from the start. It was so beautifully sung and they are so young and talented. The power they both have just blows you away. Great performance tonight.

To be honest, after getting to this point in the competition I haven't got a clue who is going to win. There are so many so incredible acts tonight and so many winners. Anyone could win with just a few exceptions. It has been the best Britain's Got Talent final I can actually remember. So coming to the result, the final placing, in reverse order is:

Charlotte and Jonathan - The Runner Up

Ashely and Pudsey - The Winner

If a dog had to win the show, then the most amazing one I have ever seen managed to do it, and Pudsey is such a cute and cool dog. Not sure what the dog will do with half a million pounds, but after the Royal Variety Performance he can retire and eat steak and gravy for the rest of his days. 

One thing is for sure I can see a lot of people doing well out of this years show, there were so many good singers and three of them singable and ready to make albums that would do well in the charts. That fact alone shows how amazing the show has been this year. I could watch tonights show all over again, it was simply the best year ever.

Finally my prediction, well I got it wrong, but I just know that the Loveable Rouges are going to get a record deal out of this and they are going to do well. I love all they have done over the course of the show and I can't wait for their first album.
