Celebrity Big Brother Winner Summer 2014

Well that is it for the summer session of Big Brother with the winner of the Celebrity show being selected tonight. Thankfully now we have entered the autumn schedules there will be plenty to entertain us the show returns at the start of the new year.

After three weeks American actor Gary Busey was crowned the winner of the show after some amazing twists and turns that we have come to expect from the show since its move from Channel 4. Other than being in the house this summer Gary is best known for his roles in Point Break and The Buddy Holly Story, and his reputation for bizarre behaviour which we certainly saw this summer. The purists of the show might not like the changes to the show but it has brought it back to its peek around the time of Big Brother 5 when Big Brother turned nasty.

Well it has certainly been an eye opener of a show, showing the effects of what a massive ego can do. Lesley Jordan, the excessive name dropper of the first night turned into a real queen bee in the house with everyone feeding his ego which was bigger than the empire state building. He was so self centred that the whole house had to revolve around him and he made sure he did this by being the biggest drama queen I have ever seen in the house. Thankfully he didn't stay long.

Then there was Frenchie and her horrific tempter and fake boobs, James the patronising coward who some how made it through to the final 6. Of course we had a fake romance all for the sake of the press. And who can forget Kiellie who spent a week wanting to get out of the house, not understanding that is the best way of making sure the public keep you. Then finally there was the house bloke George, a man that spends his time watching TV while being on TV for a living.

One final thing I have noticed in this summers celebrity house is the intolerance, bullying and a lot more game playing than any of the recent celebrity shows. Over it has been a classic as far as conflict goes and a good way to end the summer series. 

Celebrity Big Brother - Inside the House

Well they have certainly been busy at Elstree Studios over the weekend getting ready for the summer Celebrity Big Brother show. The old house mates left the house on Friday night and tonight the, so called, celebrities enter the house. As you can see it been cleaned and transformed and it is certainly very colourful this year so I hope they packed their sunglasses.

I wonder what the celebrities will make of the double beds and the mind games that will be played on them as the series unfolds. Just hope they get a week of basic rations at some point during the show, that always good for a bit or arguing about food and the other bickering that it can cause. Should be a interesting show and it all starts in a little over an hour.

Celebrity Big Brother - Summer 2014

All those people that dislike Big Brother might have thought it was safe to turn over to Channel 5 tonight, but they would be in for a shock with the start of a new summer series of Celebrity Big Brother starting tonight at 9pm. It is the show where a group of down and out Celebrities try and bost themselves into the A List by appearing on TV.

As always don't expect to know too many of the house mates. A lot of them tend to be bit part players in the celebrity world living their lives on low rating shows and on the not so popular TV channels, but there will be the odd big name if they have paid the right fee. Rumored house mates this summer include:

If the last main show Big Brother is anything to go by it should be quite a show. It was the best Big Brother series for many a year with great tasks and a great mix of house mate and the power theme with simple genius. I will be watching as always, will you?

Big Brother 15 - Final

It been another summer in the Big Brother house full of arguments, tribal wars, controversy and the odd bit of bulling thrown in with Big Brother messing with the house mates heads along the way with "The Power". Sadly that all came to an end tonight with the final of this years summer show that features "members of the public" some of whom just what to join the low life celebrity list.

It been one of the best years in ages, I thought Channel 5 brought a breath of fresh air into the show when they took it over from Channel 4, but this year they have surpassed themselves. It has been an amazing show full of twists of turns with the books favorite changing from on week to the next. The task have been excellent and funny at the same time and the power trip theme worked really well. It kept the whole house on their toes for the whole show and made for excellent viewing. The forums were hot with talk and the show seemed so alive for those that watched it.

And the final night lived up to all that you would expect from the show with a lively crowd with lots of boo and cheers. The order of the final six house mates:

• 6th - Pav Paul (22) - Cheeky, resourceful and tactile ladies' man Pav comes from an affluent background and has a traditional Sikh family and works in the family property business. 

• 5th - Chris Wright (33) - Wantabe actor but is currently between jobs. He is also a skilled artist and sells works of art drawn in biro. He has never had a normal job saying it wouldn't suit him.

• 4th - Ash Harrison (24) - Describes himself as lazy and says his looks give him blessed life 'filled with women'. He still lives at home with his mum and works in his dad's building firm.

• 3rd - Christopher Hall (23) - The sort of person that enjoys the thrill of the chase and refuses to take the word no for an answer. He is passionate about having an opinion, works hard and enjoys a good night out.

• 2nd - Ashleigh Coyle (18)- A confrontational character who spends all her money on spends her money on clothes, shoes and her dog Gucci, although she did say she would say give some of the winnings to charity . Ashleigh works part time in a boutique clothes shop in Derry and does modelling work in her free time. 

• 1st - Helen Wood (27 - Pictured) - Helen is a down to earth Northerner who tells it like it is and a former prostitute who hit the headlines about 3 years ago which involved a big name personality. She has very forthright views and tends to be confrontational and has a short temper that lead to to fireworks in the house.

The final vote for 1st and 2nd place was very close and it was to hard even to call for the producers of the show, a mere 1.2%. With Helen coming through in the end despite at one point in some polls being the most hated house mate in the show this year.Wish I could say she came out with lots of cheers but it was a real mixture with quiet a lot of boos, but that to be expected and she will be a controversial winning that will cause a stir for years, but initial in papers like the straight laced Daily Mail.

Well fans of the show won't have long to wait until the show returns in 3 days in its Celebrity form. I just hope lives up to the main summer show and it just as good. All starts Monday on Channel 5, as they use to say "be there or be square".

Big Brother 15

It is that time of the year again and we start off with a new summer series of Big Brother on Channel 5. It seems amazing that we have reached Big Brother 15 when a lot of people thought that show would end at Big Brother 11 when Channel 4 decided they would stop airing the show. Here are the pictures of the new house.

As always I will be watching the show, the only series I missed was Big Brother 4 when I spent a year without a television. It will be a long summer not just for the viewers but for the house mates too with the shows final on 15th August some two months and ten days after they went into the house. Then we will have a new series of the celebrity show to look forward too.

Celebrity Big Brother - Winter 2014

with the coming of the new year comes the first Celebrity Big Brother of the year, the other one being later in the summer. Although I'm not so involved in the ThisisBigBrother forum as I use to be I still enjoy the show and look forward to the release of the new pictures of the house, a sure sign the series is about to start.

As aways I looking forward to it and seeing what the crazy Celebrities get up to and what Big Brother can throw at them. Channel 5 might not have the viewing figures of the original Channel 4 shows but it has breathed new life into the show both in the Celebrity version and the main summer shows. If you like the reality television I can recommend it.

Celebrity Big Brother Summer Winner 2013

Well it is the end of another summer season of Big Brother and it all ended with the final of Celebrity Big Brother 12. As usual the show had all the twists and turns you would expect from the show with task like the battle of the sexes with the female members of the house going up against the male members in a series of funny challenges. 

As you would expect the house wasn't quiet and there were a few arguments and outbursts the worse resulting in a warning being given to Mario Falcone for slapping Sophie Anderton while play fighting in the garden. Then there was the occasion where Carol McGiffin received a formal warning from Big Brother after using the N word and another warning was given to Ron Atkinson when he said to another house mate "You're not carrying a bomb with you, are you?" because she had jumper over head in a fashion that made her appear like a Muslim female.

In the end the winner was Charlotte Crosby, who for those that don't know is English reality television personality who is known for her role on Geordie Shore. She entered the house on Day 1 and was crowned this series' winner on Day 23 and gave us together with the rest of the house mates gave us 23 days of entertainment night after night.

Big Brother 2013

Well the summer must be officially here with the start of the new series of Big Brother on Channel 5. This will be 14th series of the show in the UK which frist started way back in the year 2000 on rival Channel 4.
 

 
Having watched for so so many years, when I stumbled Big Brother 1 on Channel 4, I find myself still looking forward to the start of each new series and quickly find myself watching the series night on night until it ends. It seems this year will be no different for me and I'm sure I will get grpped as I have in previous years.

I know people have had a go at Channel 5 for changing the format of the show slightly, changing the voting system and the lack of live feed, but overal I think they have done a grand job in keeping the show alive. If it wasn't for them we would have no show at all.

Celebrity Big Brother - Final Winter 2013

Another Celebrity Big Brother comes an end on channel five with what turned to out to be a worthy winner, and it won't be until the summer until the main show returns to entertain us.

It has been a good series full of the usual up and downs that the house normally sees. Of course some of the house mates failed to make the house mate grade, on the whole they were a good bunch and gave the public the entertainment that we needed to avoid the show being a flop. It certainly did well rating wise and it should ensure the continuation of the Celebrity version of the show for a while.

The winner of the show was Rylan Clark whose claim to fame is that he is an actor, model and singer who reached the quarter-finals of the last series of the X-factor in the winter of 2012.My first impressions of him as a house mate were negative but as the show went on I warmed to him and I think in the end he made a worthy winner. 

The show is still looking good after all these years and the production company in both the main show and the celebrity version have found some good house mates and given them some fun tasks. Long may it go on.

More Celebrity Big Brother

Well today see the start of another series of Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5. It is clear the success of the show means a twice year stint on the channel is going to be the norm, with a once yearly main show.

The show starts with a twist with half the house being stuck in the basement, a similar idea to the uptairs and downstairs twist that appeared on the Channel 4 series a few years back. With it shortern 3 week run it is sure to be a big hit again for the television station who have manage to stop the decline of a once great show.

Celebrity Big Brother - Summer 2012

With just a could of days passed after the main show the people at Channel 5 have the house already for a new bunch of hosemates. All of them ready to fight it out to the end to become the winner of the summer celebrity show.

Since the show moved to Channel 5 the ratings have always been better for the Celebrity version of the show, so it comes as no supprise that they have included a Celebrity version of the show this summer.

Looking at the peolpe they have lined up it looks like it is going to be a good show, and I hope it is. It will be what the show needs to secure it's future on the Channel. As always I looking forward to be entertained for the next few weeks by a show I love.

Big Brother 2012 - Final

So we come to the end of another enjoyable series of Big Brother and I must say that Channel 5 have made the show there own, even if they haven't managed the same viewing figures than Channel 4.

The 31-year-old, sex change, development chef, Luke Anderson, received the most votes to win in this years final. He left the house to huge cheers, thankfully, and was presented with the £50,000 prize money by the host of the show before telling us that about himself, as if we didn't know already.

I think for once the public got it right. He wasn't the most boring housemate but then he wasn't the most interesting. He sort sailed down the middle and provided enough drama to make the show work with an interesting sex change sub plot.

I just hope he feels accepted for who his now, which was probably his reason for going on the show, because I think even Z-list fame won't come from the housemates of the Channel 5 show.

Big Brother Summer 2012

As always I'm really looking forward to this years Big Brother, which starts tonight, especially after watching Celebrity Big Brother over the winter. I hope that after the relative success of the last two shows that they don't go to far in picking a crazy mix of housemates. It must be tempting to take it too far pick a bunch of crazy's.

Hopefully the channel will get good ratings for the show and they won't tail off as the show goes on. There is a risk that now the novelty of the show being on a new channel has now worn off and that could affect how many people watch it. I wouldn't like to see it coming to an end because of falling ratings, it is doing too well at the moment and it seems to have had a breath of fresh air injected into it.

Personally I'm looking forward to the show as always. I'm sure it won't disappoint. Let's hope all the talk in the forums of a strange house mate mix are just that. I just hope that they have made the right choices for the sake of the show.

Big Brother 2012 - House Pictures

The run up to this years Big Brother is well underway with Channel Five releasing the first pictures of this years onto Facebook earlier today. As always the house looks very impressive, that is until the housemates get in there and mess it all up with food fights and alike.

The reality television show of all shows hits our screen again on the Tuesday 5th June, so their is not long to wait now. Like most fans of the show that have watched it for years I can't wait for it to start. I love the excitement of discovering what the new housemates are like and what happens in the house as time goes on. There something addictive about the show that just brings you back night afyer night and year after year. It is my guilty pleasure.

Countdown Begins

With yesterdays release on Facebook of the presenter photographs for next series of Big Brother the countdown has begun, keeping interest build after the release of the eye on the 7th May.

What everyone will be waiting for now is for the pictures of this years house which will feature in the summer show and the celebrity show in the new year. Excitement is high at channel 5 and they feel that they have made the show their own and applied their own style to the show.

It will be interesting to see if the channel take any of the criticisms that the hardcore fans levelled at the show, particularly about a live web feed. My feeling is they won't, although the audience figures were generally good last year by Channel 5 standards, I still don't think they will get the interest they need to make it pay. 

Last year Channel 5 managed to produce a super show and I hope that manage to pull it off again. I really enjoyed the freshness of the show last year and I looking forward to seeing if they can make it even better this year with another bunch of excellent housemates.

Celebrity Big Brother 2012 - The Final

Tonight was the final of Celebrity Big Brother 2012 and after three and half weeks in the house the reaming house mates were voted out one by one of the house, leaving the winner as the last person standing. It has been a smashing show this year and Channel 5 have now really made the format their own without destroying the show. In fact they have given back to it the thing it had lost on Channel 4 and now it seems fresh and alive again.

As for the winner it was for one the people that entertained us and like so many before her had gone on a journey of discovery in the house. In my view Denise Walch was a deserving winner of the show. What came as a surprise was that the X Factor reject Frankie Cocozza came in second even though he was the bookies favourite. It wasn't something I expected, I thought he would have left the show earlier, but looking back has always just been himself in the show which is often popular with viewers.

With ratings reported at being well over the two million mark on average for the nightly highlight shows and over 3 million for the final, it has been another success for Channel Five. Once again they have been attracting the youth audience all the Channels are after. I just hope that the summer show lives up to the promise of the Celebrity version. If it can manage that, it is sure to carry on for years to come.

I know I have really enjoyed by three and a bit weeks of car crash television and I can't wait for it all to start again in the summer. In the meantime I have the rest Dancing on Ice to look forward to and soon Britain's Got Talent returns to our screens. There is a lot of telly to come.

Celebrity Big Brother 2012

Here we are again and the start of another Celebrity Big Brother. I'm hoping that Channel Five pulls out all the stops and we get a cracking show that set us up for the summer. I know many, may be some of the executives at Channel Five included, would have been disappointed with the viewing figures for the main show, but  then again I thought the viewing figures did well against the autumn competition . This years main show be in it's rightful place smack in the middle of summer.

The format is the same of as that of the main show. People share a house for the duration of the show while being filmed 24/7. The housemates then get a chance to nominate housemates, normally once a week, to leave house via a public vote until the final week arrives. The winner is the housemate that stay's in the house to the very end. The main difference between the main show and the celebrity version is that later is shorter. The theory being is that celebrities have busier lives than everyone else on earth. Only time well tell who the celebrities will be for this years show. Rumours in the press change daily in the run up to the launch night.

Hopefully tonights show will be a big success for the television channel just like the main show in the autumn. Although show didn't get massive ratings it did pull the teen audience from the shows former channel, Channel 4. This meant Channel Five could charge more of advertising so supporting the cost of airing the show and increasing the companies profits. This has to be a good sign for the future of the format which looks like it is going to continue for some time to come.

Big Brother - The Final

When the main show big brother started on Channel 5 I was a bit uncertain if I liked the direction the channel were taking it in. The editing seemed bit off making the programme seem staged at times and it lost the reality edge it had on Channel 4.  Thankfully as the show went on they were clearly listening to the fans on the forums and on Twitter and the editing slowly reverted back to that of the past. From that point on I was hooked as much into the show as I was in the past.

On the whole I think they managed to get a really good mix of housemates who managed to produce enough drama and interest to more than fill the hours highlight show we were shown each night. The tasks seemed interesting enough and fun enough to make good veiwing. There were some so oddities which include "the vote to save" rather than "the vote to evict" that produced some eviction surprises and some of the playing around with the nominations process upset many die hard fans. However, overall, they didn''t end up distracting from the show, mainly because they were such good housemates in the house and unlike some of the shows of the past it managed to keep the interest going unto the end. On thing for sure there was plenty of romance in the show this year with two couples.

As for who won, well it was it was Aaron, who was probably the most emotional, intellectual and interesting housemate in years. Often accused by the other housemate of being a game player, he knew everything about the show and how it works being a life long fan, so it wasn't surprising he got this label. He will be remembered for his on and off relationship with another housemate, Faye,  and their constant falling outs. Is he a good winner, probably yes, he is the first interesting winner in years and the first ever that who got booed when he won. 

With the next series of the Celebrity Big Brother starting just after Christmas fans won't have long to wait for the next show. Will you be watching? I will after this years shows.

More Big Brother

If you have been watching Big Brother for ages like myself, then you will be looking forward to more crazy people going to the Big Brother house tonight to entertain you. No doubt with the change in TV Channel will come even more crazier people than normal, picked to create romance, fun and a liberal sprinkling of conflict and controversy. All in all we should be in for a good show.

The Channel will have a hard act to follow in Big Brother Eleven which which was the best series in recent years. Thankfully I think they have made a good start with Celebrity Series that has just finished. Now they need to continue what they have been doing and pull out all the stops. The audience figures for the daily nightly show in the Celebrity Series were over the two million mark and the final peaking over three million. That is double their normal average viewing figures. Although more than respectable for Channel 5 they will be expecting an average audience figure of over two and half million. It is make or break time for Big Brother now the main show has started. Let's hope the autumn start and the competition from the over channels doesn't bite into the audience figures too much.

Celebrity Big Brother - The Final

Tonight was the final of Celebrity Big Brother Eight and  after three weeks in the house the reaming house mates were one by one voted out of the house. In the morning they will all be in the newspapers before some of them go back to being on the z-list from where they came, while others will be reborn in some way.

I know there has been a lot of criticism especially at the start of the show that the Channel Five were trying to murder Big Brother but in the end I think they have ended up stamping their own flavour on the show and made it a success. Despite all the people that said about that not having a live feed will kill the programme the rating have been wonderful for the channel. I feel it has proved their critics wrong and I have really enjoyed it,

As for the winner it was for once the person I wanted to win the show. Paddy did so much to show what travellers are really like and how big their hearts are despite how they come across on the outside. However, all three of the finalists could have won and I would have been happy. They all did so much for the show, it was just that I thought Paddy had the edge on them as a person and had a journey in the house.

The house won't be empty for long this year with the house being refilled tomorrow with new house mates who will probably be more crazy than the celebrities they replace. After all, the people that go in the house tomorrow will be setting out to follow them into the z-list.
