Grainstore Beer Festival

With the coming of the bank holiday weekend their will be many things going on and around the County of Rutland. On even that has been going on and has been attracting large happy crowds is the Rutland Beer Festival held at The Grainstore Brewery, which is now in its 14th year.

The  Festival  brings together a wide range of real ales from around the UK, and features over seventy Real Ales with an array of golden ales, stouts, bitters, porters, ciders and barley wines, that just goes to show that brewing is still popular today despite the hold of the big commercial brewers that have done so much to destroy famous names of the past, like Ruddles Brewery formerly in Rutland. As always there will be live entertainment, barbecues and that friendly atmosphere that The Grainstore is known for. Opening Times are:
  • Thursday 21st August 2014 - 5pm until Midnight
  • Friday 22nd August 2014 - 11am until 1.30am
  • Saturday 23rd August 2014 - 11am until 1.30am
  • Sunday 24th August 2014 - 11am until 1am
  • Monday 25th August 2014 - 11am until Midnight
Admission is free, but there is a deposit of £3.00 on a commemorative festival glass, which is yours to keep, or return for a full refund if you so wish. The choice is yours. Even if you got for just a couple of pints and brave this weekend weather you are sure to have a good time. It is well worth a visit.
