Escape to the Country

This weeks edition of "Escape to the Country" shown on BBC 2 featured Rutland. A couple from south London were looking to move to the county to retire and they fell in love with Rutland. It was surprisingly was the first time the programme had been to the county. It featured some of the lovely countryside and attractions in the county.

It was a lovely show case for the county and some of the lovely properties that are available in the area. It was just a bit of a shame that one of the houses wasn't in Rutland, although it as a lovely house, however there is the advantage that going over the boarder into Leicestershire saves you a penny or two. Although they didn't get the house they wanted, featured in the programme, I'm happy to say they did move to Rutland in the end. If you missed the programme you can watch it again on BBC iPlayer.
