Baking Bread

There is nothing like the smell of baking bread to make the taste buds tingle and a smell that has been missing here for the last eighteen or so months. That is until to now. Today I made my first homemade bread and the house was filled with those smells again.

Although I can see this is going to take time to perfect, I pleased with my first efforts and like they say the proof is in the tasting and it tasted really nice. I have wanted to cook bread in the house again for ages and now I can. 

Next I want to try my hand on different types of pastry and I know where to start. Watch this space but until then it is cake making tomorrow.
