Shame on the BBC and ITV

It such a shame that the bosses at the BBC and at ITV carry on in a ratings war by scheduling popular programmes against each other in the schedules. They might thing they win some phoney rating wars but the companies themselves don't lose at all. The only real losers are the viewers that have to decide which of the two programmes they want to watch and which one to lose out on even thought they want to watch it too.

The current issue is clash of "The Voice" on the BBC and "Britain's Got Talent" on ITV. It is not the first time this has happened, it has been going of a long time and I have heard so many people complaining about the practice including broadcasters. The general opinion is they might be good for the channels but it is hardly good for viewers. 

We have now hit that problem. With people wanting to watch both "The Voice" and "Britain's Got Talent" which both overlap. It is time that the television companies stopped playing silly games. The fact is that both companies could win by increasing the audience for both shows, rather than the everyone, especially the viewers losing out. 

Thankfully one of the companies have seen sense and from a week today ITV will be broadcasting "Britain's Got Talent" slightly later to avoid the clash. Lets just hope that is the last we see of these pointless rating wars.
