And then there were None

It was an early start today for the girls. They had to get up and get ready and pack to go to their mums. We were meeting early so they could make the most of the day and have some time with there my mum on their own before their are both they are joined by their brother over the weekend for the rest of the holiday.

The journey for a Friday morning was a lot quicker than I expected, the traffic was generally light all the way there and back. Not sure if it a sign of the economic times we live in but the traffic use to be much heavier than that in the past. It took a little over 50 minutes to get there. The girls gathered their things and we entered Mc Donald's to met the girls mum, who was having a coffee. We all sat down together and had a chat together before I headed off some twenty minutes or so later with a mc muffin to munch on the way home. It is amazing how different the two experiences of dropping off my daughters is. Emily and Catherine are going away for just over a week, until early Saturday evening when I will pick them up again with Lucy.

Sometimes I find it hard to remember that I had my last child so I would never be without one at a weekend. All I dream of now is seeing altogether more. Gosh how things have changed and not all for the good.
